I have just redone the radio surround in the console and turned sydney upside down looking for a wallnut burl veneer (like the original dash wood) I don't suppose your mate could track that down?? I ended up using a straight grained wallnut veneer. It turned out allright but the stain wasn't quite the right colour. I'm not too disapointed though, I have my DIN CD player in and it looks neat.
