joash Occasional Poster Location: Newcastle Registered: March 2005	Re: Mark II diesel -->1J conversion Thu, 17 March 2005 13:39 hey yeah i'm not exactly sure about the cross member and sump and all that.. i've been under there before coz i actually built a sump guard (coz it had already been hit twice by previous drivers) i know that you can't get the sump without taking the cross member off, but other than that i really don't know what to tell you. i'll try and get some photos. although don't really know what i can do, it's pretty damn low, i can't really get under it. But i'll see what else i can find out about it. Nah it's an outo.. don't know who the hell thought of puttin an outo behind a diesel, obviously never driven one before. but anyhow. and sorry unfortunatley i don't know what the diff ratio is. i have no manual for the car, and haven't had much luck finding out on the net. i was thinking though, if anything the diff ratio will just result in a gearing up effect. meaning lower rev for the same speed. is this not correct? sure it would result in loss of tourque.. but hey. begga's can't be choosers thanx [Report message to a moderator]
