why won't the place refund them, same thing happened to me when i got shocks for my rona they gave me crown shocks the rears are the same but the front ones are diff cos of the wishbone vs struts, anyway didn't find this out until about 6 weeks later when i tried to fit them with my uncle, went back to the shop where i bought them Auto One the guy took them back with only my eftpos receipt not the full one, refunded them and oredered monroe GTgas strut inserts for me which cost more and gave them to me for the same price.
I got KYB excel G and they were only 65 bucks a piece cos they sell them at 45% retail price.
Anyway hope it all works out for you but i reckon you should get a refund.
