Me too! except im a barmaid.
Go for the clubs over pubs. Easier work, better atmosphere, better treatment, you know you will receive your entitlements etc.
Plus, most clubs shut fairly early compared to pubs and you are more likely to pick up day time or arvo shifts.
If you havent worked behind a bar before and have to money, look at doing the barmax course, so at least you have a few skills and you can show prospective employers you are keen to learn. MOst positions that are avertised want experienced people, so the best way to crack into the industry is to print up heaps of resumes adn just drop thewm into every pub and club in the area.
