Yup I'd say so! From my halfcut, the accessory loom connects only to the fuse box and to the ecu. So from your ecu diagram you only have to worry about things like the 'check engine light', 'neutral start switch', 'brake switch' and ignition. All this should be simple swapping of plugs, or might even plug straight up as it's the same family of engine.
I didn't have to make any different connections with my fuse box, because I'm using both wiring looms - the engine loom and the accessories loom.. Pretty much swapping over EVERYTHING (inc dash) from the halfcut to the car.
So the only splicing I will be doing will be to connect up the lights (brake, indicators etc), and the headlight retractor control.
For your fuse box you will probably just need to swap plugs on connections going to power accessories. An even simpler way, but messier would be to leave your old fuse box in, but add the new one as well, and connect both to the battery... This way your old accessory loom connects to you old fuse box, and your engine loom connects to the new one. Should work, although I've never tried it!
Try to get a wiring diagram for your car, someone on here should have one! I was lucky as the ae86 one is in tech docs. This will help heaps with wire colours etc.
