i speak from experience with my aw11 that has been complianced for about a month now.
after picking up the car. i spoke to my engineer and he wanted.
1) intrusion bars
2) unleaded filler
3) tyre plaquard
4) tune up label
5) flat glass mirror on drivers side
6) noise test as it had after market exhaust (not needed if yuo have a stocker)
7) weigh bridge ticket
being a 15 yr import any workshop/yourself can do these mods. i did them myself bar the intrusion bard. not having a welder made it a shade difficult.
took the car to my eng. he looked it over checked all that it all matched up properly typed up his statement covering how it was modified and how it complied with relevant ADR's and i was on my way.
ran it to the blue slip place. he checked it over usual blue slip procedure nothing special there. i asked him about the tyres. i had put aussie tyres on there just to be on the safe side he says as long as they have either a DOT or E marking on them they are cool.
took it to the RTA they wanted my import paperwork, weigh bridge ticket, eng report, blue slip, reciept, green slip, and my hard earned money and i was off.
both my engineer and blue slip guy were very helpful and professional. Lakes Edge engineering at wyong and AMC automotive at berkley vale. both very helpful.
