a 1990 sw20 assuming it is <90.3 is completly legit.
if it has been imported under 15 year scheme it will not need a compliance plate just an engineering certificate to say it passes the relevant laws and your home and hosed.
i would be asking for copies of the importation approvals and engineering cert. despite the fact that you have bought it registered i would still want these papers that in theory you only need for establishing the rego.
