Gaps?? Do you mean spark gap? They should be preset when you buy the plug. I'd recommend NGK Iridium.
You don't HAVE to change anything else..but while your there..you can. I would. Things like cam seal, valve cover seals, intake gaskets, spark plug tube seals etc etc. Might aswell while your there...save havn to pull the whole thing off again when it starts to leak.
