Yeah, even using the GroupA cams which are 308* and 9.1mm lift the 10.5CR (plus a bit through the TRD headgasket) the duration is a fair bit too much. Im currently pulling 113hp at the rear wheels, on a known conservative dyno, and 121 on a fairly liberal dyno. This is from 308* cams, solid shims, and a slightly higher CR along with quads, a haltech, GZE injectors, and a good tune.
I havnt had it dynoed with the Quaife box which i got at christmas (weird presents) nor with the 4.3 diff rather than the 3.9 diff. But it certainly feels like a good 165-175hp.
The new engine should be fixing at least one of those limitations, with some nice Wiseco 11.8:1CR pistons, and a higher redline, with longer duration cams.
