surge tank designs? Thu, 31 March 2005 12:34 Go to previous message
just wondering how people build there surge tanks and which is better. ive seen alot of designs and am not sure which is better. im thinking the same as the last one i seen would better. it had the surge tank in the engine bay which is where i want it...it had a lift pump in the tank that pumped into the surge tank. the inlet into the surge tank was in the middle on the side of the tank. then from the sruge tank it had a outlet in the bottum and high pressure pump into the fuel rail and then returned back to the surge tank just above the inlet on the tank. then the return to the fuel tank was in the top of the surge tank? make sense and is this the best way? yes ive searched but found some different designs and problems on placements of the tanks so after peoples opinions.
