Japan had abolished lead in their fuel by the mid 70's, as had the US and much of Europe. We were way behind in this regard!

My 5M-E used to be fine with 91 RON fuel... they have a pretty low compression ratio. The 6M-GE pings a bit on regular ULP so I run the high octane rocket fuel now. Smile
