Maybe you should still go twin but use say a couple of BB T25's or T28's on foward facing manifold (conventional not 1J style). That way you will have no clearance issues, should have reasonable low down response and get you 400 rwhp. I know it will cost more than a single but if it is your everyday driver it may be worth spending the extra dosh.
