Note on spark plugs.
I've had much input from particular ignition specialists, and the common advice is to use plugs that do NOT have the -R- in their name.
IE BE8C
NOT BE8C-R
as an example. Because the R plugs have a higher internal resistance (by many ohms) and will reduce spark energy
The reason for their existance is to protect factory ignition systems and more importantly ECU's from flow back current from the spark plugs blowing the ECU.
In the case of the more expensive plugs,
I simply just use the cheap standard NON - R plugs in my 1G. The only pit fall is that the standard plugs fowl up quicker. So I replace them more often. But at the boost levels and fuel setup I run, it doesn't make a lick of difference, I'd be replaceing them anyway.
