What is the steering like? Is it fairly direct like my MX6? Or is it more 'floaty' like a Commodore etc? Do you get much feedback thru the wheel? It would be nice to be able to flog it through a mountain pass, but not essential 
Nah I don't mind the fuel economy that much Just good to know thats all.
Reliable is good  Anything in particular to look out for when examining one of these 2ndhand? What usually breaks? Like the motor is a lot newer than the car, but surely a 15-20 year old car is going to be getting on a bit too.
8-12k? Excellent, ah well if its around 10 or less then I might be able to afford the swap over if I get a good price for the MX6, maybe after tax return time.
Excellent! Anything in the 13's is good enough for me, if I get some spare cash I might do some work to it, but its just going to be a daily driver for me. The more stock it looks the better 
Insurance will be the killer I'd say. If its under $2kPA I might do it.
