 Engine temp too low?

Hi everyone.
Last night i noticed that my engine temp was really low, about 140-150 degrees F. Usually after more than a few min of driving it will be over that and never drop below about 180 degrees F.
It also wasn't moving around very much. This morning it only got up to 150 and this is all without the thermo fans running.
Can anyone tell me what my problem is?
I reckon it's possibly a shot water pump or temp sensor.
