The other day I decided to try and fix or rather mantain my clutch. I tried flushing the system with new break fluid but it stayed merky. I got back in the car to drive home from my mates and the cluch pedal just hit the floor and didnt come back!!!
After alot of fooling around i decided to pull out the cylinder to have a look at the piston. There's a spring around the piston whick looks like it's made by welding 2 inter-twined smaller springs together. Anyway this was in about 4 or 5 pieces which fell out everywhere. Yay. Dead clutch!
So today i went and go a new master cylender and everything works fine It was the broken pieces of spring which made the clutch floppy at the bottom. Whenever i hit the clutch hard they would spread out and prevent the piston from moving the full length or the cylender.
I'll get the pics up soon, they're pretty funny looking back at it now. There's only half the amout of spring in the photo as the rest scattered all over the place......
