i was in a similar situation a while ago, i have a smallport in my sprinter, but it was running a bigport ecu, dizzy and TPS.

dizzys are different, so i got a smallport one, then got some smallport looms and ecus and made one good loom out of all the stuff.

im using an unknown ignitor and coil, and still using the bigport TPS, as they are functionally the same (different plugs)

short answer, if you change everything, you can run either engine with the other ECU.
