yeah i told my cousin to take out the efi fuse for 30 seconds last night, he said he found the fuse but it was a smallish 15amp type fuse, I thought it would of been the bigger round type. In any case the codes dissapeared and as far as i know haven't returned. So is it possible with those old codes in memory that the computer was operating in a safe mode or some cut back mode becuase it thought the problems were still there?

He says he got 200km's of a full tank, o2 sensor is almost garanteed to be screwed. I will get him to try another one and see how he goes, altho an o2 wouldn't cuase the fuel economy to go that shit with a 1.6 litre engine would it?

your not wrong when you say to get a car checked out before buying. He rushed into it i think. If i was over in melbourne i woulda test drove it and test for codes etc b4 splashing $6k for a car. Oh well at least he got a toyota.
