With what I did it's still going to the same places as both heater hoses, it's just tidier than having bits of heater hose everywhere. If you're on a tight budget though, go grab a couple of 202 commodore heater hoses - a right angle with a fair length of straight hose, and not too bad at around $5 each. Very handy for doing jobs like this, or LPG conversions.
