I have picked up a few second-hand M4's for between $1500 - $2000. If you can get one for $1500 it's a great deal compared to a new Microtech. The Motec has a lot more options & functions and will run just about any engine you can think of, and so you can keep it for a very long time to swap between engines as you please. You either need to get a Motec loom or make up an adaptor to plug it into the existing one though. Making an addaptor is smarter, as it'll let you use the factory computer later and it's easier to wire the engine bay that way because you don't have to.
