Guys,

A query about welding: I want to fabricate material like thin aluminium or steel (2mm or 3mm plate) into items such as catch cans, intercooler components, exhausts bits etc.

Can you perform this kind of work with an oxy welding kit? I have a MIG which is great for thickish plate, but when used on Aluminium melts straight through, even on lowest current settings.

What do you guys use for such work?

Thanks
Dan
