I recently woke up on the marvelous world of modified corollas. I do not know much about anything, but I want to learn! so if this question sound stupid sorry about that.
I recently bought a KE70 in really good condition rustwise and on the inside.
Anyway Its a 4 speed manual (K40). I was did a bit of reserch and it turns out that a KE70 can come in 5 speed too (K50 gearbox) but I see you guys knew that already.
My question is can you change the K40 gear box to a K50 without alering anything on the car like the rear axle or the engine? Or did I have to buy a 5 speed KE70 to start with.
What I mean is can a K50 slot in as easy as chaging a new gear box?
