Just picked up some exhaust wrap to make my under bonnet temps in my JZX100 a little lower but i've hit a snag. I've got a split dump with a separate wastegate pipe that blends into the exhaust about 18" fron the turbo.
Now, the issue i have is i cant for the life of me work out how to wrap the exhaust while its still on the car, so i think taking it off is the way to go. The question i have is: Do i have to take off 90% of the inlet plumbing on the turbo to get to all 5 dump pipe bolts?
Cheers.

the exhauist wrap tape stuff will start to melt at around 500-600C.. if you can see the dump pipe glowing then it is probably too hot.. once the tape melts and forms a solid glass, it won't be so great for insulation
while you have the dump off, why not get it HPC'd?
