Thanks for the link, pitty it is in qld.. Will see what I can find down here first.. The motor has had no mods done to it before pulling it apart and yeh I did notice ALOT of carbon in the bores!!! It was starting to blow a lil smoke on startup but never once it was running so maybe it was burnt oil rather than being to rich.. And I am thinking it is probly the turbo and not the valve stem seals as there was no oil on the tops of the valves or on the pistons when I pulled it apart but there was some oil floating around in the cooler pipes but nothing to excessive.. I am going to clean up the head tomorrow and check it for cracks and any warping fingers crossed!! Also the idea of hydraulics does make alot more sence because I was trying to figure out how doing up the bolts to much could actually force the block apart... Marc, [Report message to a moderator]
