When I got my 7M, I replaced the headgasket with a standard item and made sure the head was machine dead straight. Re-used the old headbolts and torqued it down to 76ft/lbs? *from memory* and after 6 months of absolute abuse, its holding up remarkably well. I'm not saying its going to hold like this permanently, but by torquing up the headbolts down properly, rather than the factory crap settings, the life of the headgasket can be prolonged substantially.
