thats a big call considering DA were the first to gain full television coverage, the full lock events are a one off for TV AFAIK, dont knock the DA events, i really think that it will become the D1 of australia and full lock will become the G1 of australia, and whats wrong with that? there has to be some distinction between the noobs and the pro's

Theres a lot of unknowns.. I dont know what type of guys the full lock organisers are but I know this;

They established the first Australia Wide tournament last year, and previous.. They went to the effort of getting Jap D1 drivers down here for the fans.. theyve been doing everything in their power to cater to the fan and the competitor including cheap entry fee's.

Along comes DA... approaches all the top16 drivers from previous Drift Nats events, bags the big sponsers, and hits pro competitors with a $1200 entry fee? and then secures tv coverage.

Note the $1200 entry fee makes you wonder.. it just looks like theyve dived in and stolen everything Drift Nats has built for profit.

It 'looks' that way, im not saying thats what has happened.

others i do not,

personally i think the $1200 entry fee sucks teh big one!!! but hoestly we need the distinction between who is the best and who wants to be like the best, motorsport aint cheap.

Just becuase full lock are the first that doesnt mean they can do whatever they want, this is a free country last time I looked, and competitors have a right to choose, effectively there are people that will want to remain loyal to the full lock and DA camps but then there are people that will sit on the fence, such as myself (if it were offered to me) and see whoever is offering the better package.

From what it looks like here IMO DA have the better package at the moment, and it now puts pressure on the full lock guys to improve Smile
