IMO it's the pistons that are the only difference. personaly think it's an old wives tale about the rods in the 4agze beeing 'beefer'. i could find no difference in the rods in my 7 rib 4age to my 4agze ones. (< they are the bigport version 42mm mains).

but then someone will probably produce toyota part numbers saying they are different.. Rolling Eyes Very Happy
