One of the best security measures for wirely is Don't broadcast your SS_ID. That way someone has to be specifically looking for your network rather than stumbling across it.
WPA is supposedly more secure however, I am new to the wireless world (give me cat5 any day!). but I do know that they can both be beaten, if the person knows how - I doubt there are many that do.
My main points for wireless security:
Don't broadcast ss_id
Enable Mac Filters.
Use long key lengths (5 characthers is easy to crack! 20 harder and so on!)
Always have a firewall set up (most WAP/Routers have this feature) unless there is a specific reason BLOCK all incoming ports.
