it couldn't possibly be oil - just no way if all the pistons are unbroken & still in one piece.
it also shows an Abused Engine. one that has been run many times without getting up to operating temp - either short trips (under 20 minutes run time)or no thermostat, or bad choke adjustment/cold start system, or
