u will not be able to just go get new number plates... as the person u bought the car off bought it for the regestration thus he has the rego now an u have a car that cannot be regested as the ID of its been taken an reassigned to that turbo car.
unless of course the person u got it off just took the plates and nothing else then yes just go take the vin number ect and it will be able to be regested and they will issue new plates..
buy pretty sure the first bit woulda been the most likley case
...
but if not its straight foward as just going in and regesterin it..
