on the 18rgeu (factory EFI) the water temp sensor (toyota code THW) is located on the thermostat housing.
The 18rgeu actually has a different thermostat housing to the normal carby version to clear the throttle body. I think there is a spot on the normal carby thermo housing to take a water temp sensor though. As for what thread - i have NO IDEA
