generally, the usb cable will be the fastest. ive used a usb cable, serial cable, bluetooth dongle, bluetooth between phones, and infra-red between phones, and the cables have always been fastest. it took about 1 hour(!) to transfer a 4 meg mp3 from my mates nokia 6230 to my motorola v600. and the file didnt work on my phone anyway! crappy motorola. it took about 3 minutes to put a 4 meg mp3 on my phone using a bluetooth dongle. the usb cable is the shit, way faster.
