Thu, 28 April 2005 00:50 i really would suggest a suck through setup..running 8psi providing you get the pully dimensions right..shouldn't be a problem if the motor is in alright nick..i think you will be suprised at the torque increase! becuase your compressing air and fuel in the supercharger, it will actually work as in intercooler effect, the fuel will cool the air a bit, but you won;t be able to run a IC if you have a suck through..if your doing a suck through..i might be inclined to suggest a carby off a 1.8 or a 2.0 litre (eg 18R)..just so it gives it a bit more fuel, chuck a new set of points in the dizzy, cos it will proberbly want to rev past 6 with a bit of boost in her lungs! good luck with it..i might try it for a bit of fun myself..i think it would be best if you swaped all your pullys over to the GE/ZE ones.. (ribbed) the GE crank pully will only give you 5-6psi max..the ze one (bigger) will give any where up to 9psi..i would keep the S/C on a switch of something similar..not permanently on..it will burn it out real good [Report message to a moderator]
