Its not a thicker head gasket it is a billet alluminum 30mm spacer with water jackets and oil galleries machined into it. But its not only that its a complete new bottom end. The longer rods allow for a square borw stroke ratio of 86\86 i was trying not to go into too much detail just the general gist.
But i guess some people have to put people down to make themselves look smart huh

go and have a look at that page.. see the LONGER cylinder liners?
rods don't affect bore/stroke ratio

it sounded like you were saying that the spacer and longer rods give the bigger capacity.
i'm saying it's the longer stroke of the bigger crank, coupled with longer cylinder liners, that give the capacity. the spacer is there to fit the cylinder liners in, and the rods are whatever length is needed to keep the pistons in the liners.. i just meant to clarify these points
