Pube Regular Location: Camden Registered: May 2002	Re: vz-fe rwd? Sat, 30 April 2005 02:13 Yes the vz series engine can become RWD very easily. I was researching a V6 conversion for my celica. The V6 hiluxes and 4runners use a 3VZ-E engine which is a V6 single cam RWD engine brother to the 3VZ-FE which is the 3L quad cam engine found in the wide body camry or 2VZ-FE which is a 2.5L quad cam found in the SV21's. So what you have to do is get a hold of the bellhousing from the V6 hilux or 4runner. The manual bellhousing will suit a R154 or a R150 for RWD or go the auto bellhousing and use an A340 variant. It bolts up to a 3VZ-FE just fine - i tried it. Im not too sure about the MZ series engine. Thats the one i wanted but had trouble finding an engine a wreckers to see if the bellhousing would it. Most wreckers and not even interested or tell you all sorts of stories. I never actually found out if they share the same bellhousing bolt pattern. I was told they are a ompletely different engine but found some contradicting info on the net somewhere. [Report message to a moderator]
