The 3VZFE comes with the E153 5 Speed from FACTORY. The E153 used in the MR2 is the same gearbox, but with relocated shifter linkages and diff synchros/ratios. The VZ and MZ uses the SAME bolt pattern..that is..the E153 will bolt up to a VZ and MZ exactly the same way. I don't think the MR2 boxes used a different gearbox bellhousing. They may have..but i've ever heard of it..all that ive heard is that there all interchangable. To some it up.. - All V6 bellhousing are the same (2VZ. 3VZ, 1MZ) - The 3VZ comes with the E153 Standard - The E153 will bolt up to a 2VZ, 3VZ, 1MZ and 3S. - I dnt think there are any differences btw VZ and S sereis E153 options..apart from those listed above.
