just get sandpaper,
probably a course grit to start off with..
Make sure you hose down your car with water.
if done correctly, you'll get a nice sludge coming up while you are sanding.
repeat the same process with a finer grit sandpaper.
Keep doing it so till the surface is super smooth like a baby's butt. Make sure there is no gloss from the previous layer of paint. Make sure it's as matt as possible.
Next, look for any minor dints, bad levelling, or rust. Treat all that. Din'ts and bad levelling, you can use a small amount of bog. For rust, angle grind as much of it as possible. You should really be doing cut and shut jobs for rust, but for smaller surfaces, fiberglass is fine. Bog that up.
give everything a rub back one more time so it's nice and plush. And go over any bare metal patches with etch primer.
mask your windows, door trims, etc. etc.
then your done!
