An 18R-C will fit with a bit of fiddling, but this would actually be a step backwards from the 21R-C (and that's saying something).

really? i thought it was a better engine or am i thinking of the 18rg?
but yeh the problem with the 21rc thats in it is that my mechanic said theres about $3k worth of oil leaks and thars some rather large dents in the sump(wether thats bad or not?) and i really doubt this thing is gunna pass rego again unless i get the oil leaks fixed up but id be better off just gettin a new car although i love my celica and id rather just get a new engine
