Mon, 09 May 2005 02:20 I was recently amusing myself on a skid pan, my mate was videoing me and he waved me to a stop and told me that he had seen sparks coming out of my exhaust. We figured that it must have been stones on the tyres or something and ignored it. Last night I was doing roughly the same thing and I experienced some oil surge (OIL light came on repeatedly during hard cornering) when I stopped and got out of the car I noticed a fairly steady stream of red sparks being blown out of my tailpipe on idle. This lasted for 30 seconds or more. The coolant temp didn't go above 90. The motor is just a cammed up 2T with extractors etc. What the hell have I done? The engine seems to perform normally still, which leads me to believe that it was just some carbon being blown loose at high revs (~7000rpm) Anyone experienced something similar?
