factory 3T GTE has a comp ratio of 7.8:1
Running forgies to suit a 3TC is fine.

If you get the flat top 87mm 3TC forged pistons from Wiseco, they have sufficiently deep valve notchs.

You could mill (or turn) the comp dome down on a forged NA replacement piston in order to tailor the CR if it came to it.
One would be left asking why?

Lesson for today - flycutting is a milling process using a single point cutting tool. When decking cylinder heads and blocks for example "a flycutter" is used.
