about the gearbox.. the 2jz-ge w58 gearbox could handle a turbo onj, as long as you're not planning on running high boost (just have a look at my mk2, paul's, and norbies when it's running)

and yeah, have a, look at the above posts. it'll be cheaper to buy a turbo, and cheaper to insure.
if you're going to be a naughty boy and not tell the insurance company about the turbo, you'll still be forking out big $$$ for the turbo conversion, probably better to just pay the higher insurance on the twin turbo to begin with
