um...have u thought about putting the rotor over the hub instead of put it behind the hub?
i think i've seen it done this way, by machining the hub diameter to a bit smaller, redrill the rotor (stock rx-7 maybe) to 4x114.3 stud pattern. put it over the hub and use longer studs.
this way, u should be able to use rotors that has around 60-70mm.
and u could probly get more clearance between the caliper and the wheel spokes.
