Registered: June 2002	Re: Delco EFI Sun, 22 December 2002 19:55 hey frank. the 1227808 used in the camira/pulsar/vn is not able to be programmed (without kalmaker anyway). sure you can download the diags ect - and have a look at them with a simple rs232 cable connected to the ALDL - but you can't make changes on the fly. the later VR/VS delco ECU's you can make changes on the fly but you need a different cable to connect to the ECU - using a MAX232 chip - um, you can make the changes while you're in the session - but once you make those changes and switch the car off they're gone. you can't write to the ECU permanently. nonetheless still a very good ECU. considering kalmaker retails for about $995 and a Haltech E6GM (plug in replacement for 1227808 ECU is the same - i know which way i'd be going) [Updated on: Sun, 22 December 2002 19:55] [Report message to a moderator]
