I have one of each, Cressida is analogue, XX was digital. I really don't have a preference either. As long as the speedo cable is in good condition, the speedo won't jump around. Its less noticable on an analogue to see it wavering a few mm. While the digital fuel guage is much more accurate, it only samples the tank every few minutes. ie, if I park the car on a slope to the left, the guage will drop about 3 bars while parked. It takes a good 5 mins of driving before its back up to where it should be. The analogue one will adjust in about 5 seconds. However, with the analogue one, you hammer it, throw it into a corner, or stand on the brakes, and it will drop/raise about 1/4 of a tank. The digital doesn't do that. The best thing about the analogue is watching the speedo needle fly up quicker than most tacho's do. [Report message to a moderator]
