installing a catalytic converter Thu, 06 June 2002 03:29 Go to previous message
My '84 Cressida is currently having a 5M-GE transplanted into it. This engine is a designed to run ULP whereas the old 5M-E was leaded, so now obviously I'll require a catalytic converter. What sort of things should I look out for? Can this just be added to the exhaust I currently have (stock) or would people advise that a cat-back system is the way to go? I'm keen to keep the car fairly quiet for now.

Any suggestions including sizes (2.25" too big?) for the system would be greatly appreciated. Also general costs would be helpful.

Thanks

Glen
