EDIT: just realised you might be talken ECU wise, ecuwise there isnt alot of difference, GZE ecu will run a turbo converted GZE fine. The difference is when you want to run higher than 14psi of PSIBARS. Apparently the factory mapping on the AFM gzes will take around ~14psi of boost, so any more than that you need aftermarket

To run a GZE with aftermarket management you need something to switch the supercharger on, normally just a switch on/off in the ecu based on a map value, or you can run it all the time

As for my GZE if i do go aftermarket it will be with a MegaSquirt Wink

alot more work than buying an off the shelf job but ultimatly configurable to your requirements with a little bit of learning
