Yeah man, the lights with the low beams have 2 different elements in it, one for high & one for low. So when you switch to high this globe switches over plus the inner lights cme on.
That's why the inner high beam only lights have a 2 wire plug & the outers have 3 wires, 1 for high beam, 1 for low beam & 1 for earth.
So it's just a bodge connection somewhere to that side of the high beam.
