A boost controller MAY assist with full boost being achieved earlier. You simply tell the boost controller solenoid to vent ALL the pressure from the compressor housing away from the waste gate actuator. This causes the waste gate to stay shut. Unit your boost controller starts letting some of the pressure through to the actuator your turbo will be making as much boost as possible.
