i did exactly that but was on a tight budget, if you hvae all the rg parts lying around but want to use the rc block then there aren't any dilemmas.
i used the rc crank and rods as well but i won't be pushing my engine that much.
the dipstick on the other side is just a mild annoyance when checking which is done almost all of once every few months.
besides it keeps the exhaust side clear of anything that might go in the way of the supercharger/turbo setup
