The written off SX must have had the 20v loom fitted to it with some modifications for it to connect correctly to the body loom under the dash, the battery and the relay/fuse box near the battery. If you have swapped the 20v loom over with the motor, you will probably find it has already been converted to connect properly to the fuse box near the battery. However, you need to check if the wiring to the instruments, starter switch, etc. in the written off car is the same as the car that used to have the 16v in it (I doubt it very much as I had to make some changes to allow it to work in mine). A least do a wire for wire colour comparison (between the written off car and the donor car) on the plugs under the dash near the ECU that connect the engine loom to the cabin loom. You also have some wires going to the ECU that come from the body loom that are different so check them too. Toby [Report message to a moderator]
